Sienna Hotel Spa Casino, is a redesigned and refurbished hip new casino that used to be the Holiday Hotel Casino (which closed in October 1998.) It is slightly reminiscent of Las Vegas' Green Valley Ranch. The Siena Hotel Spa & Casino opened on July 31, 2001. It has a paltry 214 rooms in its 9 floor tower, but the rooms are quite nice with a view of the Truckee river, downtown Reno and the surrounding mountain ranges. The riverside area adjacent to downtown is really starting to transform into a vibrant community.

Fancy digs in the newest joint in Reno. 185 rooms and 29 suites which have either a "Riverview" or "Mountain View" if you prefer one or the other please call the hotel directly and state your preference clearly, they will do their best to accomodate. Due to the small number of rooms at the Siena, they sell out often so book as far in advance as you can.

South of downtown on the other side of the Truckee River. It's off the beaten path, but they like it that way. Definitely worth the trip to visit and surely worth the visit if you like boutique hotel vibes.
