1948 was a banner year for Reno casino openings. Among them is the historic Club Cal-Neva in Reno's downtown area. The attached Virginian Hotel has 120 rooms, nothing fancy, but it'll do the trick if you're down with paying less and getting less.

Standard hotel rooms ranging from $39 a night to $189. Don't expect Caesars Palace here folks... its lower end, but cost effective for the grinder.

Nothing too fancy here, but you can find a burger at Burger Bar, pizza at Big Apple Pizza, prime rib, steaks and shrimp at Pound for Pound.
